My health was deteriorating and after years of yoyo dieting I was struggling, I thought if I carried on then I wouldn’t have been here for my children much longer. I could never have afforded the surgery in this country and so I researched abroad.
My initial consultation was professional and friendly and I was completely put at ease. Al aspects of my travel was done for me I just was given times and dates and all I did was turn up. I wanted it that way as didn’t want to have to deal with all the hassle which was just amazing. Transfers to and from hotel, airport and hospital was fantastic, drivers were lovely and helpful and on time and made the journey fun .
Support during my stay was great, nurses and surgeons very approachable and friendly, I think I had one nurse that was great with English but I used google translate with her and it was absolutely fine! I had support from someone from renovatedme over there and I was extremely lucky to actually have met lldem as she was over there the same time and made the experience more personal.
Hospital was spotless and room extremely large and had all the facilities I needed for myself and companion that came with me. All staff were really friendly and would do anything they could to help. Even going out and getting my companion a coffee or sandwich .
Medical team were amazing!! They found out that I had diabetes over there which impacted on either I was going to have the surgery or not. They helped stabilise my blood sugars and informed me that if they couldn’t get it under control that I wouldn’t be having in the surgery. I was a little upset about this, but they were putting my health and well being first and I completely understood this and was thankful. There care was outstanding. My sugars lowered and I was able to go ahead as they were happy. I also had my gallbladder removed as was on nhs waiting list for over 4 years to have it removed, so I asked renovated me if they could do that procedure too and it was done at an extra cost. Amazing .
Honestly I can’t rate them high enough, my pre op was lots of different tests, scans and bloods and surgery itself went without no complications and exactly as it was supposed to. Post op care was great any questions I had was answer quickly and very supportive.
1 of my incisions took longer to heal than the rest but apart from that absolutely nothing at all.
